Who We Are
The Live and Learn Unschooling Conference exists to support and promote unschooling, provide information, offer opportunities for families to get together, and empower families to make the choices that respect the rights, needs and aspirations of their children. The Live and Learn Unschooling Conference welcomes anyone with an interest in unschooling. Since its first conference in October of 2002, The Live and Learn Unschooling Conference has supported families that have made the decision to unschool as they face difficult questions and challenges. These families may wonder about socialization, the legal issues surrounding unschooling, or integration of John Holt's educational philosophy into their everyday lives. Some families may doubt their abilities, feel confused and ask themselves, "Can I really do this?" An Invitation
This is your invitation to become an Exhibitor or Advertiser at the upcoming 2008 Live & Learn Unschooling Conference. This will be our sixth conference. It will be at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain, NC in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains from September 3-7.
Our attendees are discriminating consumers, interested in a variety of high quality, creative, hands-on educational materials. They will be coming to the conference, most with their children, looking for unusual items that they cannot find in their local teacher supply stores. They expect quality and value from their purchases as well as resource ideas and in-depth information about the products displayed.
How Your Company or Organization Can Participate!
There are several ways your company can reach our conference attendees. The options below detail the different ways that you can participate in our conference. Some companies might want to take advantage of every option while others may only choose one or two options that meet their needs. After deciding how you want your company to participate, complete and send the Exhibitor Form to Live & Learn Unschooling Conference.Exhibit Booth at the Conference Join us in September to Exhibit at the Conference! You are sure to get exposure and recognition for your product or organization! There will be plenty of time available for the attendees to check out your products and services. (Note: If you intend to sell your products at your booth, you must include a copy of your retail license.)
Conference Handbook Advertising This is an excellent way to put information about your organization in the hands of our attendees! The Conference Handbook will be kept as a reference for years to come. If you cannot attend the conference, advertising in our handbook will still help attendees learn about your products/services. If you are at the conference, a special note in your ad can direct people right to your booth.Brochure Bag At registration, all families will receive a canvas bag with information about the conference, catalogues, flyers, and advertisements. Exhibitors and other businesses can use the bag as an inexpensive way to reach a large number of unschooling families. Attendees of previous conferences say they take these bags home and share the information with their support groups, independent study groups, family, friends, etc., thereby increasing the number of people you reach and maximizing your advertising dollars. For a flat rate of $50.00, L&L will include you brochure, ad, or catalogue in the brochure bags.
Added Bonus for Exhibitors and Advertisers! As an added bonus to Exhibitors and Advertisers, L&L will add a link from our conference website to your website. Please be sure to provide your website address. Links will stay on the website from the time your application is received and accepted through December 2008.
